Couple points:
The preview bar at the bottom of the windows is tinted blue so it doesn't match the pinkness of the theme.

Also round max, min and close buttons are excellent in vista basic, a welcome change from the ugly buttons in vista basic.

Could u spin off this theme into a recoloured plain white or matte black theme?

I've also seen tonnes of start orbs around the dock icon section, u could also swap out the existing start button with a pink-itized orb button.

Yeah, apparently I missed a line of the preview frame so Vista renderes its aero-effect above it. But I can't imagine what pink ur talking about.

I forgot to mention, when wmp11 is in toolbar mode, its thicker than the player and the taskbar is forced to be thicker than its supposed to be adn thus gets too fat and becomes really uglu adn makes the screen act all buggy as it resizes to accommodate wmp11, can u please restyle skin's taskbar to be thicker?

..Again, hats off to you -- this is quite possibly one of, if not THE finest VS skins available on deviantArt.

Sadly, I simply cannot stand the min/max buttons you've featured.

..I understand you had a skin that previously encompassed an alternative pane (similar to the standard vista buttons).. but has since been removed.

..Would you please consider re-uploading it? ..If that's not possible, would you be able to suggest how I might alter this myself?

Havnt seen any of these issues before, neither in basic nor in aero mode. Cant fix what I cant see. Guess youre using 32bit Vista? (Sorry, I dont get why they released this stuff) Looks to me you cant display transparency within some images. This theme was build on a 64bit Windows, so that may be the reason.

I'm on Vista premium, 32 bits ;)

But normally, if you are in 64bits, you can also switch to 32 and 16, no ? :)

Applications compiled in 32bit will run in a compatibility mode, but legacy 16bit stuff wont start on Vista 64. At least that has nothing to do with the display bugs you have mentioned. The problem might not be the pictures; while these are always png's with transparency, Vista 32 and 64 have different ways interpretating their themes layout files. These are written in hex code following different structures in 32 and 64bit.

This also implies you can't edit 64bit-based themes with 32bit applications, nor can you import 32bit code into 64bit themes.

At least Vista 64 has the ability to display both 32 and 64bit themes. To correct these white square bugs you would have to edit the theme on Vista 32, which I don't own and won't install. Then, why is Microsoft offering different compiled versions of aero? Because they never wanted it to be re-edited. Or at least never thought of.

Though I know the elements you marked on the sceenshot, I can't "correct" them because for me they already are correct. The start button for the bottom taskbar i. e. is png 872 in the images key within the msstyle. The image itself is exactly 43px wide, just the same as your white box around the button. But the area around the button is defined as transparent and does not own any color, while your Windows renders it white. So you see that this is a peculiarity of 32bit vista which I can't fix running on 64bit.
